Change the owner of a loction

Easily change the owner of a location in our booking system. Follow the steps to create a new owner, archive the current owner, and assign the new owner to an accommodation or location.

When a location changes ownership, you need to archive the current owner and create a new owner. Follow the steps below to complete the process correctly.

Important: make sure the current owner's settlement has been completed before changing the owner. Once the owner has been changed, this cannot be undone or corrected.

Create a new user for the new owner

Before creating the new owner, you must first create a user account.

  1. Click New user in the top-right corner.

  2. Enter the new owner's details and save the user.

The previous owner should no longer have access to the owner portal.

  1. Click the edit (pencil) icon next to the previous owner.

  2. Deactivate the user.

Archive the previous owner

After the user has been deactivated, archive the previous owner.

  1. Click Edit next to the current owner.

  2. Archive the owner.

Create the new owner

Once the previous owner has been archived, you can create the new owner. Follow the steps in our Creating owners article.

Assign the new owner to the location

Next, assign the new owner to the correct accommodation or location.

  1. Click Edit next to the relevant accommodation or location.

  2. Select the new owner in the Owner field.

  3. Save the changes.

After assigning the owner, review any agreements such as commission rates or other owner-specific settings and update them if necessary.

Set the owner portal start date

Choose the date from which the new owner can access the accommodation information.

  1. Open the owner settlement settings again.

  2. Go to the Owner portal tab.

  3. Enter the desired start date.

  4. Save the changes.

From this date onward, the owner will be able to view the accommodation information.
