Importing accommodations and locations into our booking system

Learn how accommodations and locations from a previous system are imported to ensure that existing and historical reservations remain linked to the correct locations.

When switching to our booking system, it is important to correctly import accommodations and locations from the previous system. This is particularly important when existing and historical reservations will also be imported at a later stage.

By importing the locations first, reservations can be linked to the correct location during the import process.

Importing accommodations and locations

The import process consists of the following steps:

  1. Export data from the previous system
We schedule an appointment to export the required data from the previous booking system.

  2. Review and clean up the data
After the export, the data is cleaned up to ensure it is ready to be imported into our booking system.

  3. Import accommodations and locations
We then import the relevant accommodations and locations into our booking system.

  4. Include locations for historical reservations
When importing reservations from 2024 and 2025, we include all relevant locations from the previous system.

  5. Set inactive locations as inactive
Locations that were no longer active in 2024 are set to inactive in our booking system. These locations remain available solely as a reference for historical reservations.

This approach ensures that the booking system remains up to date and well organized, helping to improve the overall efficiency of your business operations.
