Set up rate periods

Learn how to set up rate periods to use different rates for, for example, the low, mid, and high season.

Rate periods determine when specific rates apply throughout the year. For example, you can set different rates for the low season, mid season, and high season.

A rate period can contain multiple separate periods. For example, you can include different holiday periods and public holidays within the same 'High season' rate period.

Create a rate period

  1. Click New period or open an existing period by clicking Edit.

  2. On the General tab, enter a description and add a period with the desired start and end dates.

  3. Open the Accommodations tab and select the accommodations to which the period applies.

  4. Click Save changes.

Use rate periods for rates

After creating a rate period, you can select it in the price specifications of a rate. This means you do not have to enter each individual period again in the rate rules. The rate you set automatically applies to all periods included in the selected rate period.

Important when using rate periods

Make sure the periods on which your rates are based connect without gaps. The start date of a new period should be the same as the end date of the previous period. This prevents dates from being left without an available rate.

If you change an existing rate period, keep in mind that the change also affects rates linked to that rate period.
