Do you use the Airbnb connection through the channel manager? If so, it is important to configure all options, surcharges, and taxes correctly within Airbnb.
This ensures that guests are charged the correct amounts and that these surcharges are processed correctly in our booking system.
1. Log into your Airbnb account
Go to the Airbnb website and log in with your credentials.
In the top-right corner of the screen, you can navigate to host mode to manage your listings and settings.
2. Configure taxes
Go to the ads tab.
Select the ad for which you want to set the tax.
In the ad editor, click the settings icon.
You will now be taken to the customize preferences screen, where you can scroll down until you see the taxes section.
Here, you can set the tourist tax and save your changes.
3. Configure additional surcharges
Navigate to the calendar within Airbnb.
On the left side, select the listing for which you want to add fees.
The settings screen will appear on the right side.
Under the additional fees section, you can set up fees such as:
Final Cleaning: to charge cleaning fees.
Pets: for any additional fees per pet.
Extra Guests: if you charge fees for more guests than the standard number.
Important
If you change a surcharge or tax in Airbnb, you must also inform our support team. We will ensure that the updated surcharge is correctly mapped within the connection between Airbnb and our booking system, so it is imported correctly for new reservations.
Also make sure that the corresponding option or surcharge has already been created in our booking system. Only then can it be linked correctly.
