Worldline RX5000 payment terminal

Set up a Worldline RX5000 payment terminal, configure the POS connection and import the terminal into our booking system.

The Worldline RX5000 is a payment terminal that can be connected to our booking system. This guide explains how to configure the POS connection, restart or update the terminal, and then import and configure the terminal in the dashboard.

Configure the POS connection

First, configure the connection to our booking system on the RX5000 terminal.

  1. Press F + CLR simultaneously.

  2. Enter the password 11223344.

  3. Select Terminal Manager, check whether the terminal ID is configured and select Continue.

  4. Select Terminal Mode.

  5. Go to Terminal Mode and select Customer-facing terminal.

  6. Go to Cash Register Configuration > External Device Protocol and select C-TEP.

  7. Go to Cash Register Configuration > Communication Link and select TCP/IP.

  8. Go to Cash Register Configuration > Hostname and enter terminal.recranet.com.

  9. Go to Cash Register Configuration > TCP/IP Port and enter the C-TEP port assigned to the terminal.

  10. Go to Cash Register Configuration > TLS and select None.

The C-TEP port cannot be chosen freely. The port is assigned to one specific payment terminal. Contact support to request the correct port.

If an incorrect port is configured, the terminal cannot establish a connection and a no POS connection message will appear.

Restart the terminal

Restart the RX5000 through the menu. Do not restart the terminal by disconnecting its power supply.

  1. Press F + CLR simultaneously.

  2. Enter the password 11223344.

  3. Select Exit.

  4. Press . + OK simultaneously.

  5. Select Restart.

Update the terminal software

You can use the service menu to check whether new software is available for the RX5000.

  1. Press F + CLR simultaneously.

  2. Enter the password 11223344.

  3. Select Exit.

  4. Press . + OK simultaneously.

  5. Select Services.

  6. Select TEM Call.

  7. Select Check for updates.

  8. After completing the update, select Exit.

  9. Press . + OK simultaneously.

  10. Select Restart.

Check the terminal software version

  1. Press F + CLR simultaneously.

  2. Enter the password 11223344.

  3. Select Start payment app maintenance.

  4. Go to Management > Configuration.

  5. Check the solution version, for example 1.7.18.0.

Open the Android network settings

  1. Press F + CLR simultaneously.

  2. Enter the password 11223344.

  3. Select Exit.

  4. Select Settings.

  5. Enter the password 350000.

Passwords for the Worldline RX5000

The following passwords are used for the different menus on the RX5000:

  • 350000 – Android menu

  • 11223344 – Supervisor menu

  • 112244 – Merchant menu

Import the Worldline RX5000 into our booking system

After setting up the payment terminal, you first need to create the payment method for terminal payments. You can then import and configure the Worldline RX5000.

  1. Go to Settings > Administrative > Payments and click Payment methods next to your payment provider.

  2. Scroll to the 'Terminal payment' payment method and click Add.

  3. Enter a name for the payment method and select the desired general ledger account. You can then save the payment method.

  4. The Terminals button will then appear next to the payment method. Click it.

  5. Click Import terminals.

  6. The terminal details are retrieved automatically. This includes the name, terminal ID, brand, model and port.

  7. Configure the remaining terminal settings.

After importing the terminal, you cannot manually change the terminal ID, port or serial number. These details are populated during the import.

You can configure the following details yourself:

  • name;

  • acquirer ID;

  • cash drawer;

  • Active;

  • Kiosk.

For Acquirer ID, you can choose from seven values:

  • 67300110 – Equens CTAP

  • 99900001 – Worldline EUROPE

  • 99900002 – CCVPay

  • 99900003 – Worldline Bancontact

  • 99900005 – EMS FD EUROPE

  • 99900007 – Ingenico

  • 99900008 – MultiSafepay
