The Salto KS integration allows you to manage guest access directly from our booking system. Bookings are automatically sent to Salto KS, giving guests access to the appropriate doors and facilities during their stay.
For example, you can provide access to accommodations, sanitary facilities, the swimming pool, or wellness facilities. Locations, access roles, locks, and access schedules determine which areas a guest can access.
Note: the Salto KS module is not activated by default. Contact [email protected] if you would like to use this integration.
Set up the Salto KS integration
To establish the integration, access to the Salto KS dashboard is also required. We recommend creating a separate administrator account for this purpose. In the Salto KS dashboard, go to People, click Create user, and follow the steps to create an administrator account.
Next, enter the login details in the Salto KS settings in our booking system. Go to Settings > Hardware > Salto KS. Once the connection has been established successfully, the settings will show that the integration is active.
Acces groups
In the access group settings, you can determine when access groups are automatically created and removed. You can also specify when a guest's access starts and when it expires.
Pin code
In the PIN code settings, you can determine when guests receive their PIN code and how long it remains valid.
Synchronize Salto KS locations
Once the integration has been established, first retrieve your existing locations from Salto KS:
Go to the Salto locations tab.
Click Sync.
Then click Get locations.
You can then use the retrieved locations to configure the appropriate access roles and locks.
Configure access roles
After retrieving the locations, retrieve the access roles from Salto KS. You can do this from the Roles tab.
Select the required location.
Click Sync and then View results.
After synchronization, select the roles that should be assigned to guests by default.
Click Edit selected roles to configure them.
Note: a guest must have at least one access role. Make sure that at least one role is set as the default guest role for each location.
Link locks to locations
Once the access roles have been configured, you can retrieve the locks from Salto KS. Synchronize the locks in the same way as the access roles.
After synchronization, you can edit a lock and link it to the appropriate locations in our booking system. This determines which locks guests can use based on the location of their stay.
Configure access schedules
Next, configure the required access schedules. These schedules are automatically applied to access groups created by our booking system. This determines when guests can use the linked locks.
Note: at least one access schedule must be created. Once the locations, access roles, locks, and access schedules have been configured correctly, bookings can be created automatically in Salto KS.
Manage users
You can retrieve existing users from Salto KS. Users who are automatically created from bookings will appear automatically in the user overview. From this overview, you can manage users' access roles and remove users.
Manage access groups
You can also retrieve and remove existing access groups. Access groups that are automatically created for bookings cannot currently be edited further.
