When rates, packages, or other pricing settings have changed, it may be necessary to recalculate a reservation. Using this feature, you can recalculate a reservation based on its current reference date or choose a new reference date.
Open the feature
Open the desired reservation.
Click the dropdown menu next to the 'Email' button.
Select Update reservation.
A pop-up window will open with two options:
Recalculate reservation
Update and recalculate reservation
When should you choose recalculate reservation?
Choose Recalculate reservation when you want to recalculate the reservation based on its original reference date. The reservation will continue to use the settings and rates that were valid on that original reference date.
Use this option when you want to recalculate the reservation without changing the reference date.
When should you choose update and recalculate reservation?
Choose Update and recalculate reservation when you want to update the reservation to the current situation. The reservation will be recalculated using a new reference date: today's date. As a result, the system will use the settings and rates that are currently valid for this reservation.This is especially useful when no rates had been configured at the time the reservation was originally created.
Use this option when you want the reservation to be updated according to the current settings.
Important information
Recalculating or updating a reservation may affect rates, discounts, packages, and other pricing-related components of the reservation. Always review the reservation after the reaction has been completed.
