With automatic rate groups, you can automatically calculate rates based on an existing rate group. You decide whether the rates should be increased or decreased by a fixed percentage. This allows you to manage pricing agreements centrally without having to update rates manually.
When should you use automatic rate groups?
This feature is particularly useful if you:
Work with tour operators.
Offer rates through external integrations, such as Qenner.
Use pricing agreements that differ from your standard rates.
Because the rates are calculated automatically, you only need to update your base rates in one place.
Create an automatic rate group
Follow the steps below after the feature has been activated.
Click New rate group.
Create a new rate group.
Only newly created rate groups support this feature. Existing rate groups cannot be converted into automatic rate groups.
Enable the 'Automatically transfer rates from another rate group' option.
Select the rate group from which the rates should be copied.
Specify whether the rates should be increased or decreased by a percentage.
Assign the required accommodations to the rate group.
Click Save changes.
The rates will now be calculated automatically based on the selected base rate group.
Important: Any changes made to the base rates are automatically applied to the linked automatic rate group.
Link an automatic rate group to Qenner
If you use the Qenner integration and want to send a separate rate group to a tour operator, you must link the automatic rate group to the correct sales channel.
Click Edit next to the required sales channel.
Under Rate group, select the automatic rate group you created.
Click Save changes.
