Rates per person allow you to charge an additional fee for extra guests. This surcharge is automatically added to the accommodation rate when the number of guests in a reservation exceeds the included number of guests.
Rates per person are configured per rate profile and apply to all accommodations linked to that rate profile.
Opening rates per person
Go to Settings > Rates > Rate profiles. Open the desired rate profile and click Rates per person to configure the rates.
Number of included people
The number of included peoople is the number of guests covered by the accommodation rate. If a reservation includes more guests than this number, additional charges are automatically calculated based on the configured rates per person.
Important: The number of included people is a setting of the rate profile and cannot be adjusted per accommodation.
Apply discounts
Use the 'Apply discounts on rates per person' option to determine whether discounts should also be applied to the additional per-person charges.
Important: This is also a rate profile setting and cannot be configured per accommodation.
Configure rates per person
You can define an additional charge based on the number of guests in a reservation. For each rule, configure the following settings.
From number of people
Specify from which guest the additional charge should be applied. For example:
Enter 3 if the surcharge should apply from the third guest onwards.
The first two guests will then be included in the accommodation rate.
Increase per person
Specify how the surcharge for each additional guest should be calculated. You can choose between:
Fixed amount: A fixed amount per extra guest, per night (in euros or another currency).
Percentage: A percentage of the base accommodation rate for each additional guest.
The calculated surcharge is added to the accommodation rate.
Age group
Select the age group to which the surcharge applies. If an age group is selected, the surcharge is only applied to guests within that specific age category.
