Managing transactions within a reservation

Learn how to manage payments, refunds, chargebacks, and payment requests within a reservation's transactions.

Within every reservation, you can view and manage all financial transactions. This includes payments, refunds, chargebacks, and payment requests. To open the transactions screen:

  1. Open the reservation.

  2. Click Transactions at the top of the reservation.

Managing payments

In the Payments tab, you will find all payments associated with the reservation.

Online payments that have been automatically processed through a connected payment provider are automatically imported and displayed. These do not need to be added manually.

If a guest has paid using a payment method that is not processed automatically, you can manually register the payment.

Add the payment by:

  • Entering the correct amount.

  • Selecting the appropriate payment method.

  • Optionally choosing whether you want to send a payment confirmation to the guest.

Registering refunds

Through the Refunds tab, you can process and manage refunds.

Depending on the payment method, you can:

  • Register a manual refund. In this case, you must also manually transfer the refunded amount to the guest.

  • Process an automatic refund through Mollie or Stripe. The refund will then be automatically transferred to the guest.

For more information, please refer to our article Processing refunds.

Viewing chargebacks

Through the Chargebacks tab, you can see whether a guest has reversed a payment through their bank or payment provider.

Here you will find an overview of all chargebacks linked to the reservation.

For more information about handling chargebacks, please refer to the article Handling chargebacks.

Sending payment requests

Through the Payment requests tab, you can easily send a payment request to a guest.

This is useful when:

  • A deposit or full payment has not been paid by the agreed date.

  • An additional amount needs to be paid.

  • You want to collect an outstanding balance.

The guest will receive a payment link that allows them to complete the payment online.
