Additional rates allow you to charge extra for guests above the number included in the base rate. You can set different additional rates for each age group, for example, adults and children.
Set the number of included guests
When setting up the accommodation rate, you determine how many guests are included in the base rate.
Open the accommodation rate and go to the Price specifications tab.
Go to Rate period has ... included persons.
Enter the number of guests included in the base rate.
For example, if you enter 2, the base rate applies to up to 2 guests. Additional rates can be applied from the 3rd guest onwards.
We recommend setting the number of included guests when you first create the accommodation rate.
Create an additional rate
Click Prices for the required accommodation.
In the top-right corner, click New rate > New additional rate.
Under the General tab, enter the details of the additional rate:
Description: enter a recognizable name, such as 'Extra adult'.
Specify the period during which the additional rate should apply.
Priority: use a priority of 2 or higher. Priority 1 is used for the base rate.
Go to the Price specifications tab and set the required price based on the pricing method you want to use. For more information about the different methods, see the articles under Rates per period.
Go to the People tab and select the age group to which the additional rate applies.
Save your changes.
Would you like to charge different rates for adults and children, for example? Create a separate additional rate for each age group.
