Option/surcharge categories allow you to group related options and surcharges together. This is useful, for example, when you offer several bicycle rental options.
In the Booking engine, these options and surcharges are then grouped by category instead of being displayed separately.
Create an option/surcharge category
Click New category in the top-right corner.
Enter a name and description for the category.
Open the Options and surcharges tab.
Select the options and surcharges you want to link to the category.
Save your changes.
For example, you can group several bicycle rental options into a single bicycle rental category.
Display in the booking engine
Without categories, the available options and surcharges are displayed separately. When you use categories, linked options and surcharges are grouped by category in the booking engine. Guests first see a short description of the category. If they are interested, they can click View supplements to see the available options.
This makes it easier to present a larger selection of related options and surcharges in a clear and organized way.
