Accommodation providers in Luxembourg must register their guests with Statec, the country's national statistics office. With the Statec integration in our booking system, guests are registered automatically when a booking is checked in. Staff do not need to submit guest details to Statec manually. However, all required guest information must be entered correctly and completely.
Set up the Statec integration
Create a separate Statec configuration for each business unit for which you want to register guests.
Go to Settings > Software > Statec.
Click New configuration.
Enter a description.
Select the correct business unit.
Enter the Client ID.
Enter the Client secret.
Enter the location's Statec ID under Establishment number.
Enable 'Active'.
Save the configuration.
You need a separate Statec configuration for each business unit, even if multiple business units use the same login credentials.
When you save the configuration, our booking system immediately connects to Statec to verify it. If the connection fails, an error message appears and the configuration is not created. This is usually caused by an incorrect Client ID or Client secret.
After saving, you can no longer change the Client ID, Client secret or establishment number. Only the description and 'Active' setting can still be changed. If you entered any of the fixed details incorrectly, delete the configuration and create a new one.
Which guests are registered with Statec?
When a booking is checked in, our booking system automatically determines which guests need to be registered with Statec.
All guests who are 15 years or older on the arrival date are registered. This includes both the main booker and registered accompanying guests. Guests under the age of 15 are not registered. The same applies to guests without a date of birth. These guests receive the status Skipped. This is not an error.
A guest is never registered with Statec more than once for the same booking.
Which guest details are required?
For a successful Statec registration, the following guest details must be provided:
Title, first name, last name, date of birth, postcode, country, identification document type and identification document number.
These required details are also displayed in the Statec integration settings.
Check the status of a Statec registration
Each Statec registration has a status:
Not sent: the registration has not yet been sent to Statec.Sent: the guest has been successfully registered.Failed: Statec returned an error when the registration was submitted.Validation failed: our booking system rejected the information before it was sent to Statec. This usually means that a required field is missing.Skipped: the guest does not need to be registered, for example because the guest is under 15 or does not have a date of birth.
Resend a failed Statec registration
On the booking card, you will find the Statec tab. Here you can view the Statec registration and current status for each guest.
If a registration has failed, it is marked in red. First check and correct the guest details. You can then validate the information again and resend the registration to Statec.
You can also view the logs for each Statec configuration in the settings. Click Logs next to the configuration to open them. You can filter the log by configuration, status and period, making it easy to identify registrations that still require attention.
