An automatic pet surcharge is automatically added to a reservation when a guest indicates they are bringing a pet during the booking process.
Important: Before you can create a pet surcharge, the pet feature must already be configured. See the article Set up pets for detailed instructions.
Create an automatic pet surcharge
Click New option/surcharge. (Important: Always create a new surcharge for this purpose.)
Open the General tab and configure the following settings:
'Kind' → Pets
'Description' → Enter a clear name for the surcharge.
'Price' → Enter the surcharge amount.
Enable 'Price per pet'.
Enable 'Price per night' if the surcharge should be charged for each night of the stay.
Enable 'Mandatory surcharge' to automatically add the surcharge to reservations.
Enable 'This option is available online' to make the surcharge visible in the online search and booking process.
Open the Rules tab.
Under Pets, specify which pet types the surcharge applies to, for example only dogs or only cats.
Click Save changes to activate the pet surcharge.
