An iCal export feed allows you to share the availability of your accommodations with external systems. This helps keep reservations and availability blocks synchronized across different booking platforms.
Note: An iCal integration only synchronizes the availability of a rental unit. Rates en restrictions are not synchronized and must always be managed directly in the external booking channel.
Important: In most cases, you should export an iCal feed at the location level. Only use an accommodation-level iCal feed if the external system requires it, such as when integrating with Vekabo in het Groen. For more information, see our article Export an iCal Feed at Accommodation Level.
Export an iCal Feed at the Location Level
A location-level iCal feed contains the reservations for a single rental unit, such as a room, chalet, or apartment. This is the recommended and most commonly used method because availability is synchronized for each individual rental unit.
Click Settings for the desired location.
Open the iCal synchronization tab.
Under Export calendars, click Add calendar.
Configure the required settings.
Click Save.
Copy the link under URL and add it to the iCal settings on the external platform.
iCal feed settings
Calendar Name
Enter a recognizable name for the feed, such as the name of the external system.
End Date Correction
Use this option if the external system does not process the departure date correctly.
Reservation Names
Choose whether the guest's name should be included in the iCal feed.
Export Imported iCal Blocks
Enable this option only if it is required to prevent synchronization issues or duplicate availability blocks.
Active
Leave this option enabled to keep the feed available. Disable it only if you want to temporarily stop exporting the iCal feed.
Exporting the iCal feed is only one part of the synchronization process. To ensure availability is synchronized correctly, the iCal feed must also be imported into the external booking channel. For instructions, see our article Import an iCal Feed.
