Guests can use a voucher to pay all or part of the outstanding balance of a booking.
You can process this easily through the booking's transactions.
Use a voucher as payment
Open the relevant booking.
Go to the Transactions tab.
Click Add transaction.
Select Vouchers as the payment method.
Enter the voucher code in the Voucher field.
If the voucher is found, the available voucher balance will be filled in automatically.
Check the amount and click Add payment.
The voucher has now been applied as a payment to the booking.
Voucher with a remaining balance
Is the voucher balance higher than the outstanding balance of the booking?
If so, do not enter the full voucher balance. Instead, enter only the outstanding amount of the booking.
The remaining voucher balance will stay available and can be used for a future booking.
Use a voucher during an online booking
Guests can also redeem a voucher while making an online booking. After entering their personal details during the booking process, a field is displayed where they can enter their voucher code. Once entered, the voucher is automatically applied to the outstanding balance of the booking.
If the voucher value is higher than the booking amount, the remaining balance will stay available for a future booking, provided this has been configured.
