A block allows you to temporarily close an accommodation for reservations. This is useful when a unit is unavailable due to maintenance, owner use, or other internal reasons. During a block, guests cannot make reservations for the selected period.
In this article, you'll learn how to add a block to a single accommodation and how to block multiple units at the same time.
Add a block
Step 1: Open the planning board
Go to Planning in the main menu to open the planning board.
Step 2: Select the desired month
Use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the page to navigate to the month in which the block should start.
Step 3: Select the unit
Find the unit for which you want to create a block.
Step 4: Select the block
Click the start date of the block.
Hold down the mouse button.
Drag to the desired end date (maximum 2 months).
Release the mouse button.
The selected period will be displayed as a transparent blue bar.
Step 5: Create the block
A pop-up window will appear.
Tick 'Enter this period as a block' in the bottom-left corner.
Optionally add a reason.
Click Create block.
Block not clickable?
⚠️ If a block or reservation can no longer be opened, this usually means that the unit has since been linked to a different accommodation.
To resolve this:
Temporarily link the unit back to the original accommodation.
Then edit or delete the block or reservation.

Block multiple units at once
Want to block the same period for multiple units? You can do this using a group reservation.
Step 1: Select the desired period
Open the correct month in the planning board.
Click the desired arrival and departure dates in the date row at the top.
The selected period will be highlighted, and only available units will remain visible.
Step 2: Add a group reservation
Click Add group reservation in the bottom-right corner.
Select all units you want to block by clicking the unit numbers on the left side of the planning board.
Click Place reservation.
Step 3: Convert the reservation into a block
Open the group reservation.
Click the arrow in the top-right corner to open the dropdown menu.
Click Convert to block.
The reservations will be converted into blocks in the planning board. The group reservation will automatically receive the status 'Cancelled'.
