A rate profile determines how rates are calculated and applied to one or more accommodations. A rate profile contains the pricing logic for a specific stay length and can be used by multiple accommodations. This allows you to manage your pricing centrally without having to create the same rate settings multiple times.
Create a separate rate profile for each stay length, such as 1 Night, Weekend, Midweek, or Week.
Creating a rate profile
Click New rate profile in the top-right corner.
Configure the desired settings. The sections below explain all available options for each tab.
General
Rate group
Select the rate group to which this rate profile belongs.
Length of stay
Each rate profile is linked to a single stay length. A stay length is simply a combination of the number of nights and the minimum number of nights from which that rate applies. Examples include:
Standard rental: Night (1 night), Weekend (3 nights), Midweek (4 nights), Week (7 nights).
Nightly rates with discounts for longer stays: Night (1 night, from 1 night), Night (1 night, from 2 nights), Night (1 night, from 3 nights)
Derive
Choose whether you want to enter rates manually or derive them from another rate.
Enter rates manually: first create one or more stay lengths, then assign prices to each stay length.
Derive rates from another rate profile: rate are calculated automatically based on another rate profile.
Derive rates from another rate group: rates are calculated automatically based on another rate group. When using this option, you cannot define separate stay lengths, as they are inherited from the source rate group.
You can read more about this in our article Derived rates.
Description
Enter a short, recognizable name for the rate profile, such as '1 Night' or 'Week'.
Conditions
In the Conditions tab, you define how the rate should be applied.
Here you can configure:
The number of guests included in the base rate.
Whether discounts should also apply to person-based rates.
Which camping unit type the rate applies to.
Which accommodations are linked to the rate profile.
By linking multiple accommodations to the same rate profile, you can manage similar accommodations from one central location.
Administrative
In the Administrative tab, you configure the financial settings for the rate profile.
Here you specify:
The general ledger account.
The VAT rate that should be applied to the rate rules.
These settings ensure that reservations are processed correctly in your financial administration and reporting.
