Derived rates allow you to manage multiple rates that follow the same pricing structure. Instead of maintaining each rate manually, you can configure a rate profile to automatically inherit its prices from another rate profile. Any changes made to the source rates are automatically applied to the derived rates.
Within the new pricing structure, there are two ways to create derived rates:
Derive rate profiles from another rate profile.
Derive rate groups from another rate group.
Deriving rate profiles from another profile
A rate profile can automatically inherit its prices from another rate profile. This is useful when multiple accommodations or rates share the same pricing structure.
Click New rate profile in the top-right corner.
Select 'Derive rates from another rate profile' in the rate settings.
Select the rate profile you want to use as the source.
Optionally configure a positive or negative price adjustment.
Save the rate profile.
From that moment on, all price changes made to the source rate profile are automatically applied to the derived rate profile.
Important
Derived rates cannot be edited manually.
Actions cannot be performed on derived rates.
All changes must be made in the source rate profile.
Note: Save your stay lengths at least once before they can be selected as the source for a derived rate profile.
Deriving rate profiles from another rate group
In addition to deriving individual rate profiles, you can also derive entire rate groups from another rate group.
When rate group X is derived from rate group Y, the system automatically copies all rate profiles from rate group Y. The configured price adjustment for the rate group is then applied automatically.
