Set up consumption charges

Set up consumption charges for gas, water or electricity and automatically charge them to reservations.

With the Meter readings module, you can automatically charge guests for consumption costs such as gas, water or electricity.

Create a consumption surcharge

  1. Go to Settings > Surcharges > Options and surcharges.

  2. Click New option/surcharge in the top-right corner.

  3. Enter at least the following information:

    • Description

    • Price

    • Price per consumption: enable this checkbox.

    • Consumption unit: select or enter the desired consumption unit.

    • Included consumption: if desired, you can set a number of units as included consumption.

Set up a general ledger account

Please note: do not forget to select the correct general ledger account under the Administrative tab.

If no custom general ledger account has been configured, the default account '8260 - Revenue gas, water, electricity' can be used.
