Revenue-based priority in the reservation planner

With revenue-based priority, reservations without a preferred location are automatically assigned based on the expected revenue. By configuring weightings, periods, and accommodations, the distribution of reservations can be optimized.

You can find this setting via Settings > Account > General > Other tab. Here you can enable the option 'Assign reservations without a preferred location to locations based on revenue'.

Configure revenue-based priority

Click Configure to set up the weightings. By default, the priority of a reservation is determined solely based on the accommodation rate. Optionally, additional revenue can be included in the calculation, such as revenue from preferred locations.

In addition, you can:

  • Configure rounding;

  • Add weightings;

  • Configure different weightings for each reservation source;

  • Link specific arrival and departure periods to a weighting.

The default weighting for every reservation is 100%.

Note: After changing the settings, don't forget to click Save changes.

Configure validity periods

Using the Edit 'Revenue-based priority' periods button, you can:

  • Define the periods during which the revenue distribution applies;

  • Select the accommodations for which the configured distribution applies.

View the report

The results of the revenue distribution can be found in the corresponding report via Reports > Reservation planner > Revenue distribution. More information about this report can be found in our article Revenue distribution reservation planner.
