Set up and configure kiosk environment

The kiosk environment allows guests to independently complete processes such as check-in and check-out. From the Standard package onwards, the kiosk environment is available as an optional add-on and can be connected to our booking system.

We provide the software for the kiosk environment. Kiosk hardware is not included. You are responsible for selecting a suitable hardware partner for the supply, installation and maintenance of the kiosk. Our software is designed to work in a variety of hardware environments.

You can find the kiosk environment settings via Settings > Hardware > Column settings. The settings are managed per kiosk user. Open the kiosk you want to configure.

To allow guests to pay by card via the kiosk, 'Kiosk' must be enabled for the correct payment terminal. The kiosk uses the first active payment terminal for which 'Kiosk' is enabled. Therefore, enable this option for no more than one payment terminal per organization.

The kiosk can then use this payment terminal for card payments.

If you use Salto, the kiosk can also encode wristbands during the check-in process.

Go to Settings > Hardware > Column settings and open the relevant kiosk settings. Then open the Salto tab. Use 'Encode wristbands at this kiosk' to determine whether the kiosk can encode wristbands.

If the kiosk is not touched for one minute, a 30-second countdown appears. If the kiosk is not touched during this countdown, the active session ends and the kiosk automatically returns to the welcome screen. The kiosk is then ready for the next guest.
