Rate per night

Learn how to set a rate per night and use different nightly rates for each rate period in our booking system.

In this article, we explain how to set a nightly rate and use different prices for, for example, the low and high season.

This article continues the explanation of creating rates. We recommend reading the article Create rates before continuing.

Set a rate per night

  1. Open the rate you created and go to the Price specifications tab.

  2. Click Add period.

  3. Select the required rate period or choose a custom period.

  4. Enter the required nightly rate under Price per unit.

  5. Under the calculation settings, select 'Price per night'.

  6. If required, add an additional description, such as pre season. You can add this description for all activated languages.

Add additional periods in the same way if you use different nightly rates throughout the year. Keep the following in mind:

  • Make sure the periods do not overlap to prevent multiple nightly rates from being charged for the same night.

  • Start each new period on the date the previous period ends. This prevents gaps between your rates.

Example with different nightly rates

You can use different nightly rates throughout the year. For example, you can charge a higher rate during popular holiday periods than during quieter periods.

A simple example for 2027:

From

Until

Description

Tarief per nacht

04-01-2027

10-06-2027

Pre season

€42,50

10-06-2027

06-09-2027

High season

€55,00

06-09-2027

24-12-2027

After season

€41,00

In this example, a higher nightly rate applies during the high season. You can determine the exact rates and periods based on your accommodation and pricing policy.

Set up multiple periods clearly

Do you use many different periods with the same rate? For example, several weekends and holiday periods in April and May that all fall within the high season? In that case, it is useful to create a rate period.

A single rate period can contain multiple separate periods. When setting up your nightly rate, you only need to select the rate period. The rate then automatically applies to all periods included in it.
