Set up a bank connection via Ponto

Connect your bank account to our booking system using Ponto and automatically import incoming bank payments. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up the bank connection.

With the bank connection, you can automatically import incoming bank payments into our booking system. The system attempts to identify which booking a payment belongs to based on the payment description.

This allows you to quickly match a bank transfer to the correct booking and register it as a payment.

Important: the bank connection only imports incoming payments. Outgoing payments are not imported. If you receive other types of income on the same bank account in addition to guest payments, those transactions will also be imported.

Steps to set up the bank connection

The bank connection works through Ponto. You can find the bank connection settings in our booking system under Settings > Administrative > Bank link.

Follow the steps below to complete the setup.

Step 1: Create a new connection

  1. Click New connection in the top-right corner.

  2. Choose one of the following options:

    • 'Create a new Ponto account and link it immediately'

    • 'Link an existing Ponto account'

  3. Enter a recognizable name in the Description field, for example Rabobank Bank Connection.

  4. Click Connect.

If you are creating a new Ponto account, carefully review the pre-filled information and update it where necessary. This information will be sent to Ponto.

Step 2: Connect your bank account in Ponto

After clicking Connect, you will be redirected to the Ponto website.

Complete the required steps in Ponto. Once the process is finished, you will automatically be redirected back to our booking system.

Then click Save changes in the top-left corner.

Step 3: Retrieve bank accounts

Once the connection has been saved, you can retrieve the linked bank accounts.

  1. Open the overview of your bank connections.

  2. If you have multiple connections, open the correct one via Accounts.

  3. Under Accounts for, you will see the linked bank accounts.

  4. If the list is still empty, click Fetch available accounts.

The linked bank accounts will now be loaded and displayed.

Step 4: The connection is ready

Your bank connection is now ready to use.

Our booking system automatically retrieves the latest transactions from Ponto every four hours, for example around:

  • 12:00 PM, 4:00 PM or 8:00 PM

New incoming payments will then become available to match with bookings.
