My email is no longer working

Is your email no longer working? Check webmail first to find out whether the problem is related to your email account, email program, or device.

If you are experiencing problems sending or receiving email, first check whether you can still log in to webmail. This will help you determine whether the problem is with your email account itself or with the email program or app on your computer, phone, or tablet.

Check webmail

Open your browser and go to: yourdomain.com/webmail. Replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name and log in using the details for the relevant email account.

If you no longer have the login details, contact [email protected].

After logging in, check whether you can see your recent emails and whether you can send and receive email.

Webmail works, but my email program does not

If webmail works correctly and your recent emails are visible, the email account itself is probably working correctly. In that case, the problem is usually related to the email program or email app on your computer, phone, or tablet. First, check that the account is configured with the correct email settings. Setting up the email account again can often resolve the problem.

Important information for POP3 accounts

If your email account is configured using POP3, make a backup of your emails before removing or setting up the account again.

With POP3, emails are usually downloaded to your device. Depending on your settings, messages may then be removed from the mail server. If you set up the account again without creating a backup first, locally stored emails could be lost.

With IMAP, emails usually remain on the mail server and are synchronized with your devices.

Webmail is not working either

If you cannot log in to webmail, or if you cannot send or receive email through webmail, contact [email protected].

Include the email address experiencing the problem and any error message you receive. This information can help identify the cause of the problem.

Still need help?

If you are unable to set up your email program again or are unsure about the settings on your device, contact your IT administrator. They can help you configure the email program, computer, phone, or tablet correctly.
