Set up lengths of stay

Learn how to set up lengths of stay for nightly, weekend, midweek, or weekly rates and optionally specify a fixed arrival day.

Lengths of stay determine the number of nights for which a rate applies. For example, you can create a length of stay for a weekend, midweek, or week and then use it when setting up your rates.

A length of stay can also have a fixed arrival day. For example, you can set up a 4-night midweek stay starting on Monday.

Set up a length of stay

  1. Click New length of stay or open an existing stay duration by clicking Edit.

  2. Enter the description, number of nights, and optional arrival day.

  3. Click Save Changes.

Use lengths of stay for rates

After creating a length of stay, you can use it when setting up rates. This allows you to set a fixed price for a week, midweek, or weekend, for example. For more information, see the knowledge base article Rate per week, midweek or weekend.

Common lengths of stay include:

Description

Number of nights

Arrival day

Weekend

2 nights

Friday

Midweek

4 nights

Monday

Week

7 nights

No specific arrival day

For example, if arrivals and departures are only allowed on Mondays and Fridays, a weekly rate is automatically combined with these permitted arrival and departure days.

Set different nightly rates

You can also use lengths of stay to differentiate between weekend nights and weekdays.

Description

Number of nights

Setting

Weekend night

1 night

Night rate is only valid on weekends

Midweek night

1 night

Night rate is only valid on weekdays

This allows you to charge a higher nightly rate at the weekend than on weekdays, for example.

Would you like to use different rates for weekend nights? See the knowledge base article Nightly rate with a different weekend rate.
